review 1: I read Dog On It and enjoyed it so when I saw Paw and Order on the shelf at the library, I decided I needed to pick it up. After all, I am a sucker for such clever titles.Bernie is a private eye who has Chet, a K-9 school drop-out as his side kick. They were on their way back home after solving a case when Bernie decides to take a detour and go to DC to visit his girlfriend, Suzie Sanchez. Suzie, a journalist has recently moved to DC to take a job as a reporter for the Washington Post. When Bernie surprises her, he finds that she is working on a big story that she tells him she absolutely can't talk about. When her source ends up dead, Bernie winds up involved and then arrested for the murder. Now how will Bernie and Chet be able to find out what is really going on?T... morehe story is written with humor but at times frustrated me a little when Chet would discover something that Bernie remained clueless about. All in all it was entertaining. Dog owners often imagine what their dog is thinking so this type of story appeals to me. A good quick read for enjoyment.
review 2: Always a pleasure to spend a little time with Bernie Little and Chet of the Little Detective Agency. Bernie and Jet have just finished up a case that led them south to the Louisiana Bayous and decided to head east to visit their friend, Suzie in Washington D.C. Of course not long after they land at Suzie's, a body shows up. Lots of fun with Chet as they follow the leads into intrigue and danger inside the beltway. less
