review 1: Jochen is forced to spend the summer working at a goalie camp for kids to make some money, even though he'd not a goalie. He's upset at first to find out his roommate is one of the Cougars, the evil team, no matter how cute he is. However once he gets to know Rebel he realizes he's not like the others and before long they have agreed to a sex-only relationship on the down-low. However Rebel breaks the rules and falls for Jochen. Just as they are planning to come out, some website gets pictures of them making out in a car and blows the story wide-open, leaving Rebel rejected by his family and losing his job on his team. There's a D/s bent to their relationship in the bedroom and I did like both guys. It's a cute story about two players, who in this case, other than Rebel's ... morefamily have a lot of support for their relationship.
review 2: Hockey and romances blend together to make a entertaining love story. Rebel and Jochen are both young men with big dreams of making it into the NHL but coming out as gay could through a wrench into their plans. I really enjoyed how at first meeting both been were attracted to one another but past actions caused Jochen to jump to the wrong conclusion about Rebel. They work through their difference and start a secret relationship. Like most things it doesn't go as plan when love rears its head. Rebel is a only nineteen and I was impressed with this characters ability to push all doubts aside to tell Jochen how he feels. I was even more shocked when Jochen confused that he felt the same way. When Rebel and Jochen's decision to come out as a couple is taken away from them, its Jochen who becomes Rebels rock to lean on. The dynamics of this due was perfect. Both had strong personalities but in private Rebel was the submissive to Jochen's dominance. This was a couple was I rooting for to overcome rejection and predigest to be together. It also had its funny moments as well. Rebel being younger than Jochen at times pushed his buttons but all in good humor. I never read the usage of asshat so much but so appropriately used. This couple had its ups and downs but never once did either one think of giving up. I loved that in a love story because some things are worth fighting for no matter the cost.Blind Pass was a supper fast read that kept me glued to the very end. This is on of my favorite series and I would highly recommend this book to all readers. Its part of the Blue Line series but could be read as a stand alone. But the three previous books are just as great. Very enjoyable reads! less
