review 1: A research botanist develops a hybrid of cannabis and a rare exotic plant. It's lacking the psychotropic effects of the cannabis and has amazing healing properties. Big Pharma, of course, doesn't like this development, and with their friends in government has the drug declared illegal and starts a massive campaign to convince the public that it is a killer drug. The original scientist is murdered and his friends have to run and hide while still trying to get this product out to the public.
review 2: I received this book on the Goodreads giveaway. When I entered the giveaway I had made a note to look for the book if I should not win a copy. The brief discription peaked my interest. The book did not let me down. One of the main charactors received news his... more life long friend was murdered. Even though this is fiction I could see where Companies would try to shut down a new cure because it would cut into their profits. The book has twists and turns that kept my interest. It was enjoyable to read, well written. less
