review 1: I received this book from goodreads in the first reads giveaway. I've read many books on the topics of both education and leadership and so was interested. I was aware of the seven habits before reading this book, but was not aware that these habits were being used by schools as a sort of cultural foundational leadership program. The one thing that I did enjoy about this book were some of the inspiring school stories, and stories about some of the ways students are being given leadership roles within their schools and communities. What I enjoyed least about this book was its organization: very repetitive. I also think that at times it came across as a lengthy sales pitch more so than as strong nonfiction on the topic of educational leadership or leadership in educa... moretion.
review 2: It was hard to know how to rate this book. I LOVE the concept in the book. The ideas and results are amazing. However, the book itself did start to lose my attention the further along it went. It became more a book aimed at introducing educational faculty to the implementation, and not necessarily for the masses. That being said, I will still recommend it to anyone interested in the program, as it gets the idea across very well. less
