review 1: I thought this next book would focus on a new couple, but I was happy to see this series will solely focus on Sam and Jared. In the first book we deal with Sam's sire, but this second book focuses on Jared's. And Sam just keeps getting more powerful. I'm curious to see if we ever find out why she got a Pagori power to begin with. There must be something about her that is different to enable all of these powers she now has to manifest without overwhelming her.I griped about all of the errors in the first book, and there are only a few in this book. There was also much less giggling, which was a relief! Sam is still strong and independent, and continues to show her intelligence. Jared is still an overbearing alpha at times, but he is definitely softer and more trusting of Sa... morem's judgment in this book. The plot is interesting, but the smexy happens so often that it's starting to get repetitive. I get it, Jared's a machine - let's move on.Overall, I really enjoyed the book and will definitely read the next one.
review 2: The characters in this novel are Vampire but to me they seemed like regular people outside from their powers and speed. I always find it interesting the way different authors describe what a vampire is. How they live and the interpretation of the hierarchy. This book vampire class system was different than what I have read before but I found interesting since the Vampires powers and th kind of Vampire they were set them up to be different.The main characters in this book were established in the first book and this continues those relationships and reveals more about who they are and also what makes them unique.The relationship withSam and Jared also is explored more and their steamy romance has an opportunity to blossom but the author basso many twists and turns in this story that it is not just another romance novel,Great supporting characters in this story as well! Can't wait for more! Big fan less
