review 1: As a huge fan of horror, I really thought I would enjoy this compilation more than I did. It sounded like a book that would be right up my alley. Sadly, I didn't like the vast majority of stories in this book. This isn't to say that they weren't well written, because most were, although there were a few stories that I felt were poorly edited. One thing I found annoying was the formatting of the ebook, which made the compilation seem like it was haphazardly thrown together. I truly hate writing what feels to me like a bad review, so I'll end this one now on a positive note. The two stories I DID enjoy were: Sundered by Shannon Mayer, and the Zombie Chronicles by Chrissy Peebles.
review 2: 2 stars, NOT because of the quality of the writing, but because I thought ... morethe blurb was misleading. Many of the "short stories" in here aren't really stand alone shorts, they are teasers. I don't mind short story bundles intended to help bring notice to full length books, this was just too much of too little. Some of them did seem interesting but I think several smaller bundles with slightly more story would have done better for getting the authors visibility. less
