review 1: This series must be read in order. The first book is Death Whispers (The Death Series). The second book is Death Speaks (The Death Series). This is the prequel but if fits into the series as the third book.This book has been expanded since I first read it and I have to say it is awesome! It explains not only who Clyde is but what he is to both Parker and Caleb if you bother to read between the lines and pay attention. It also clears up a lot of mysteries about the way Parker became Tue way he is and his true intentions. On top of that you get to peek into the lives of Caleb's parents before he was born and see some of how Caleb was as a small child pre inoculations.This book is a can't miss read full of insights and illuminations that tie together the whole series in a way... more I could not have anticipated. Unlike the last two books I found the revisions enlightening and truly worthy of being called awesomeness! I am even more hooked on this series now than I was years ago! I can not wait to reread the next book Death Screams (The Death Series) and will be starting it as soon as this review is finished :)***This series is suitable for mature young adult through adult readers
review 2: This very short read is the third book in the Death Series - however, the book acts as a prequel to the events of the main character, the brain pulse technology and the paranormal prosers of Caleb. At first I wasn't sure if there was much need for a prequel, having already suspended my disbelief enough to accept the plot of the story. But, I was surprised about the insights that this gave - particularly into Clyde the zombie! Although I was confused at first at the addition of a prequel, this short book reads very quickly and has left me interested in checking out the remainder in the series. less
