review 1: I read this book for book club. I wasn't thrilled that we were reading a Christian Romance book because in the past I have found them preachy and with very little plot. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. The writing is very good and the plot twisted and turned while ensnaring the reader. I would definitely read more from this author.P. 241 each person should spend their life doing what god created them to do.P. 417 "Let no one define how you see yourself . . . Save god alone."
review 2: The story plot was great set in the Nashville area after the civil war and how two main individual's were affected by how they were judged after the event. Into this painting enter a young woman who had been sent there by her father and "uncle" who realized something was... more wrong and ran away spending the night in a church. There starts the story which entwined the thee persons, this is a good story. less
