review 1: I am not kidding when I say this is the best series EVEr! I read both books in 24 hours, smoked 2 packs of cigarettes and neglected my family! You just can't seem to stop turning the pages ! My heart was racing the entire time! This is such an action packed story with so many twist and turns..With two hot men one good (Cooper) and one not so good (S) but still sexy all the same! ! I loved it! More then loved it really! It makes me wonder what our own government is up to. And of the world! No doubt sneeky shit happens loI I swear these stories could be made out of a movie with all the description! it's like you are right along side Evie at every turn! Anyway I have a thousand questions and suspicions that are going to have to wait till " early 2014" ugh !!! I want more now ... more! Lol but I guess in the meantime I'm going to have to download some more of Tara Browns books and wait not so patiently !
review 2: I almost gave this book 3 stars. I was mulling it over last night trying to figure out what it was about it that made me think 3. I liked it. I was very interested to see how things were going to shake down. Finally it hit me. I was rating from my typical romance POV. Yeah, this is a romance, but the action and conspiracy elements really take front and center. When I looked at it thru that lens, it was a 4 star book. The writing was smooth. There was dry humor which is my type of humor. Transitions were 90% smooth. I understood the characters. The action scenes were very intense. I have never seen Kill Bill but based on the previews it seems like this book could be Kill Bill-ish. Evie and her Mom go medieval on folks. That rocked. I did have to look over book one again. Because there is so much going on with the conspiracy end, I had forgotten alot of key details. It would have been nice to read these back to back. There isn't a total cliff hanger ending, but it sets the series up for more books to come. less
