review 1: I couldn't put this book down and couldn't wait to get to the end. BUT it is not great literature! It has every cliche under the sun - the handsome protective man with the will they/won't they plot, the super wealthy who are not to be trusted, the working class girl who has made into the the gilded cage of the wealthy etc. Pure esapism, good fun, page turner but not a work of art. Good beach read
review 2: Perry is my all time favourite chicklit authour next to Sheldon..frankly this book did not meet her ususal wow factor..it had it share of glam and sham bt I've read her other much-better-than-this-one books, so this one was a notch down disappointment..the fact that it really was a murder in this one (and i knew that because Perry is famous for murder myster... morey) is not known until the half point read..the 'who' hunt is way better than 'why' hunt.. ;) I'd shelf this one in one-timers-only..#AnEnjoyableRead.. less
