review 1: Taylor Anderson really comes into his own with this fourth volume the first in a new Destroyermen "trilogy". Gone are the problems I had with earlier books with interior monologues rambling too far and slowing the plot. Instead the monologues drive the plot and show the creativity of the Destroyermen and how they deal with supplies and materiel problems. This volume has the least amount of combat but it flows better than any previous volume. A series to read for the pure joy of it.
review 2: Wow! What can I say. This series has just grown better at each stage but THIS book! Thrilling, action-packed, edge-of-seat stuff! The cuddly meerkats are no longer "meerkats"... they're just characters in the story and only occasionally are you reminded that they have fur a... morend tails! The nasty lizards, the Griks, are no longer simply mindless, carnivorous killers but have also taken on deeper characteristics. ...and now a further dimension has been added to the tale. I cannot recommend the Destroyermen series highly enough - entertainment is a given, thrilling is a byword. less
