review 1: This is another absolutely riveting thriller, totally captivating from page one -- Michael is kidnapped and forced into the business of human trafficking. Her knowledge and skills are tributes to the human potential when pushed to and even beyond acceptable limits. It's exciting to follow her through the perverse intricacies of this most horrendous of crimes and disheartening to realize, as Michael points out, that governments and policing agents spend significantly more time and money on the drug trade than toward putting an end to human trafficking. Adding to my enjoyment of this series, the audiobook "voice" of Vanessa Michael Monroe continues to be expertly performed by Hillary Huber.
review 2: I am liking this series more and more as we continue to be suck... moreed into Michaels world. I like that she is trying to move beyond all that she has seen and done however, I like her as the crazy bad arse that she is, when out of control. I have a soft spot for Bradford and how well he has fit into Michaels world. He has come a long way since the beginning when they first met and I am hoping to see him more in the story line. less
