review 1: I stumbled across this little story while looking for rocker romance. The premise of the story appealed, so why not? The characters got to me. It was not the best written book I've ever read, but I really wanted to know more about Emmy, Nick, Jesse, Drake and Shane. All of the characters suffered some form of abuse or neglect as children but survived with the ability to love and form their own family unit in childhood that continued and grew deeper as they grew into adults. The boys watch out for and take care of their Emmy and Emmy takes care of her boys. When the boys make it big in their Demon Wings band, they make sure that Emmy is taken care of. The characters are what drew me into the story and the characters this author has created will keep me coming ... moreback.
review 2: This is the first time I have read this author and I really enjoyed it. Em was abused as a child but her savors were four guys from the same trailer park. These four guys started a rock band and when Em's mother died of an overdose she went to live with them. Em fell in love with lead singer Nik who also took care of her when her mother abused her. Little did she know that Nik also fell in love with her. One night of passion changed their lives forever... less
