review 1: For a series that showed such promise with volume one, this was awful. The first half was almost unreadably stupid and the second half just marginally better. In volume ten, a DJ who apparently is in love with controlling people finds a way to create "rock zombies" by casting a spell on all the people in L.A. who have had plastic surgery. Yes, you read that right. It is literally that stupid. Not worth your time unless you just want to finish the series.
review 2: I was hoping the Val story would be more entertaining. When his boss dies in the hospital, I thought Val was going to be an interesting villain but was disappointed with how that turned out. ... moreine strung up and hearing about Molly's parents was reminiscent of the older volumes and I enjoyed that. The rest of the x-men subplot lack purpose. less

In my expert opinion, this was the lamest Runaways storyline yet.
