review 1: The Crispin Museum is on pins-and-needles as a mummy is prepared for a CAT scan. Maura Isles (the communities Medical Examiner) is also excited and attending the procedure. Everyone is expecting to learn secrets from the mummy during the scan, but, when a bullet found inside the mummy turns out to be one of them, Jane Rizzoli and her parter (Barry Frost) are assigned to the case.As with other Tess Gerritsen books in the Rizzoli and Isles series, you can expect a level of detail not usually found in other CSI oriented mystery novels. Prepare yourself for a suspenseful plot with many twists-and-turns that keep you guessing until the very last page of the novel.
review 2: I feel like i'd already read some of this story before. The idea of a woman fleeing from bad
... more guys, kidnapping and murder to find her/get her attention just felt repetitive. That's not to say i didn't enjoy this one but i just don't feel the same need to finish these as i used to. I'm not in any hurry to find out what's happening or who the killer is. Honestly, i never thought i'd say this, but i think what i need is less time spent with the victim or the killer and more time with Jane trying to solve the crime.Of course, i'm still going to read the next one, i just feel like this series is moving further away from what i most liked about it. less
