review 1: This is one of those books you don't want to put down. When you are halfway through the book, you can predict the suspense but still, you won't stop reading it. It has got all the elements of a blockbuster hollywood murder-thriller! The best part is, this novel takes you to more than four different countries(A Sidney Sheldon's trademark) and those sprawling villas, the detectives, the young wives , the rich but old husbands and one deadly serial killer! What else do you want for a super-mrder thriller??
review 2: I was leaning towards 4* for the majority of this book but the ending dropped it by one. I found that Bagshawe tried so damn hard to make this 'unpredictable and with a twist at the end that it was too obvious. I thought the ending was ridiculous on mo... morere than one level. This was a very quick read for me & whilst enjoyable and entertaining, I doubt I'll ever feel the need to read it again. To sum up; entertaining book with an interesting plot. The ending lets it down, there's also a feeling that Bagshawe wasn't able to bring life to a wonderful, creepy idea. I didn't have enough to go on, Sofia & Fran remained flat one dimensional characters to me. less
