review 1: More of same excellence. See my comments on Crashed - they all apply here too. One caveat though - the 13 yr old daughter is a BIT of a reach. She's a wee bit too brainy to be believable; forgivable under the circumstances, but something to note... make her 15 or 16 and the caveat disappears (although then she might be too distracted by 'other' concerns. Like vampires and werewolves, if the current vogue of YA lit is anything to go by...)
review 2: Even though burglar Junior Bender has never been arrested, he has a large acquaintance among the cops in the Los Angeles area. When a cop named DiGaudio asks Junior to help an over-the-hill record producer relative, he agrees. The producer had made money years ago by producing records made by good looking but modestl... morey talented youths, his “Little Elvises.” Who knew that the life of a thief could get so complicated? Great characters, funny, and a good mystery, too. less
