review 1: Bleach was definitely very interesting to read and different to what I usually read. I enjoyed the whole soul reaper concept and how we find out more and more about the main character as the story goes on.It's a fast read and is easy to understand but gets progressively more difficult to follow parts of the story due to there being so many different characters that can be qualified as important in the progression of the story.I would recommend it for the story line and the graphics but I do feel like there are a certain amount of plot holes or at least not detailed out enough parts. I give the series 3 stars, the beginning possibly deserving 4 stars and slowly falling to 3 stars.
review 2: Vol 55 opens the last arc of the series and while there is nothing wrong
... more at all with the storytelling, action and art (all balanced quite well truthfully), I am not really pleased with this. It has everything to do with my preferences to be honest. Ichigo and his friends are drawn back into the fight. Something mysterious is happening in the Soul Society. People are disappearing and others have been killed. Ichigo is attacked by what appears to be an arrancar but before he can get any answers Nell and Pesche arrive to tell him that Hueco Mundo has fallen under attack. Uryu bows out of the fight but Chad and Orihime go with him (Orihime has finally started impressing me in these last few arcs, standing up for herself). They find out most of Mundo has been devastated and it’s a bit of a hit to realize just who is leading this war (and it explains a lot as to why Uryu backed out). So why didn’t I like this nearly as much as the last arc. Sort of good guys being very evil. Yes Quincies and Soul Reapers don’t get along but this is not how I wanted things to end. But more importantly quasi-Nazis. No. just NO! I never want to see Nazis, Neo-Nazis or quasi-Nazis again. I see too many Nazis in manga. Granted, they’re the villains, but I still don’t want to see it. I hate the idea and it’s really sucking my joy out of the closing arc. less

The final story arc. It makes me sad to think it's finally coming to an end.
