review 1: I usually reserve the 5 star rating for those rare books that I feel have a superior literary value. However, I think I overuse 4 stars. I decided to give this book 5 stars - not because I believe it to be a literary masterpiece but because I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN! This book reinvents the term page-turner. It is very well written with an intense but very realistic story. I loved it and would give it my highest recommendation. I can't wait to read his next book!
review 2: I loved this book! A real page-turner! Maj Parson is a USAF pilot of a C-5. Sergeant Major Gold is an Army interpreter in Afghanistan. The training facility she is working in is bombed and many Americans and Afghans are injured. The C-5 is reconfigured as a flying hospital. As they
... more are enroute to Germany they are notified that terrorists have planted bombs on-board several US military aircraft that were at the location they just left. The bomb will detonate when they try to land. Now the crew encounters denied diplomatic clearances, mechanical failures, freaked out passengers, weather issues, refueling problems, etc. Loved it! less

Felt like I was back in the cockpit. Good crew relationships.
