review 1: I love Toni. I enjoyed catching up with all of the previous charactets from the Assassins series. Toni does a great job of catching us up with each of her new installments so I have never felt like I was missing them but it is the final chapter with Kacey and Jordy that made this book for me. Honestly, my rating is solely based on that chapter. I am anticipating lots of angst and romance with these two and I cannot wait.
review 2: It’s no surprise that I am a HUGE Toni Aleo fan-girl! Back in January I fell in love with Shea Adler in Taking Shots, and it was downhill ever since! (I even have a DoxiePin that we adopted from the animal shelter in October and have named Adler! Because, yes, I am a huge dork.)So when I realized that A Very Merry Hockey Holiday wa... mores going to be a novella about ALL of our beloved characters? I pre-ordered immediately! And I couldn’t wait to start reading!! And let me tell you, Toni does NOT disappoint!Each couple gets a chapter, and I can’t tell too much without giving it away! But a few of the Lady Assassins are pregnant! And we get to see all the kiddos – including Claire and Jude!!Some of my favorite highlights? Audrey and Tate are still as lovable as always! (I think Tate may be my favorite Assassin, if I’m being totally honest. But it’s tough to pick!) And then there’s this AMAZING scene with Philip and Jude and gloves are thrown!! And holy crap to Shea and Elli’s kids have me rolling on the ground laughing. Seriously? This book is worth it for the scene of their son and a bear alone! (And now you HAVE to read because you want to know what I’m talking about, don’t you?!?!)As always? Toni Aleo paints an amazingly vivid picture of these people and their lives that will have you ready to don your purple and black Assassins Jersey and head to Nashville to catch a game! less
