review 1: Not overly impressed in the beginning but have acquired a fondness for the two main characters. Look forward to going back to read the others in the series and then take another stab at this one. It may be one of those books you need to have background.This is a right to the point romance. They are feeling they know they do not belong together but they work so well together. Delilah& Samuel have a brief past neither will mention to get through the wedding of loved ones. This may not be the wise course of action but it works for them.Alexander give me a historical romance to enjoy. I am not over the moon with it but I do like it.Thanks, NetGalley
review 2: It's been a while since I have read anything by Victoria Alexander. I started this one, not knowing it... more wasn't the first book in the series, no matter though, I am in love with Victoria Alexander all over again.What was I thinking to neglect her for so long.This book was smart, funny, and full of romance.Delilah meets Sam while in America with her sister Camille and her fiance Grayson. The meet and lets just say they hit it off. After all is said and done she tells Sam that it would be best if they never say one another again. After all, the live in different countries. Well, guess who shows up at the wedding of Camille and Grayson. None other than Samuel Russell himself, who happens to be good friends with the groom.From that moment on it is a battle of wills between our hero and heroine. less
