review 1: 3 1/2 starsSpionage-romance is not my stuff, but what lures me is the "misunderstanding" plot. Yeah I'm a sucker for that, especially when it's funny. Adrian and Evie is a cute couple, and I like how Evie could be quite rational and not prolong the 'revenge plot' when she found out Adrian's secret. Max and Celeste is cute too, although a bit angsty with all the 'i'm-not-suited-for-you-my-lord' arguments which thankfully doesn't last long.The mystery is not that intriguing and it's not dragging along much (thankfully!), and there is not much action sequence. But that's exactly what I expect because I like my romance focus on the relationship, not the intrigues/mystery. Overall, a fun read.
review 2: I liked the premise of My Wicked Little Lies; I liked that it d... moreiffered in some ways from certain standards of the romance genre (like that they're already married AND ALSO already both love each other - unheard of!). It's just that it lost me a bit about halfway through. Adrian's motivations were pretty sketch and a little unbelievable, and I'm sorry, but his apology at the end may have earned her forgiveness, but it sure as hell didn't earn mine. Which is pretty crucial for me to be rooting for them to make it. less
