review 1: Another fun Pinkalicious book! This is a story about the Pinkest girl in the world who really wants to sell lemonade, so she can make enough money to buy pink gumballs. It's a fun and enjoyable children's story, and I would even use this book to introduce or lead into money. Teachers can use this book in their classrooms to introduce money to students. This book could be use to engage students and prepare them for the lesson on counting money, coin value, and even division (which relates to when Pinkalicious shares her gumballs with her brother!) This is definitely a cute, fun story book that could be used for pleasure reading as well as an introduction to money/coins. Math and literature, woo!
review 2: Pinkalicious decides to have a lemonade stand. But, when
... moreshe makes it properly, she is not satisfied, since the drink is not pink. When she adds everything pink she sees in the fridge, it turns out chewy and weird. Luckily, after Peter spills the first batch, the second batch turns out fine. It sells out, and they both get some gumballs. Not my fave Pinki story, but it is fun.--------------- I checked this audiobook out from the Decatur Public Library, via CamelliaNet. All opinions expressed here are my own. less
