The Devil DeVere
review 1: This is a series that I will soon not forget. Be prepared for as much mirth as romance for this series isn't about just the Devil himself, Ludovic Devere. No, he has two just as eager friends, Edward "Ned" and Simon "Sin" to lend a hand in the debauched version of the Three Musketeers for when they all get together you never know what to expect. Add the Devil's brother in and you get a truly riotess laugh. These books are full of passion and historical romance taking you back to a time period when everyone pretended to be proper members of the peer. In these books though you find the real tale of life and what goes on behind closed doors.Devere is a culprit in all the books whether directly or in aid. Anything he is involved in is full of life. He's no stranger to the King... more's fury, the jail, or a woman scorn. He's the king of debautchery and prowess. Of all the books it's truly difficult to pick a favorite though Vesta was truly a woman after my heart. All of the heroines are full of life and spirit and bring to the nobel group of men an about face that none are expecting.I absolutely devoured this series finishing them all in a mere few days. You will be hooked from the first page of the first book until the last book is finished. I love historical fiction, but to read a story let alone a full series such as this truly something you come across rarely. I enjoyed every moment of the books and absolutely recommend them to anyone wanting a series not just full of romance but full of life as well. You will NOT be disappointed. This is way beyond a 5 star read.A series that will be cemented in my top 5.I look forward to seeing what comes next from this author.I received a copy of this book for my honest review
review 2: This is so funny, I loved Vesta although she is a spoiled brat! She was just too funny to hate for long! How she goes about to secure a future with Hew was just hilarious in the end! Hew was so naive when it comes to the female population altogether in the end, so it was no surprise that he didn't notice Vesta on his own! Overall this was a great book 2 to this series! And can't wait to read book 3. Till next time ~ Sweets Books less
