review 1: My first Manga. I liked reading the reviews on Goodreads about this one. People more experienced in this art form have a lot to say about things that flew right past me. Honestly, I couldn't tell what was happening in most of the frames. I thought they were overly complicated and hard to "read". Maybe that's just my inexperience, but it made the larger plot hard to understand and after reading the reviews, I know that I really did miss a lot. I might read some more Manga, but not this one.
review 2: I've been looking for another manga to set my teeth in too for a long while now, and I'm pretty stoked to have found one:Black Butler has everything you could want to read about: a mansion run by just a kid; a butler to do his every bidding, no matter how far fetche... mored; a waiting staff who can't seem to dust a mere bookshelf without something disastrous taking place. And of course, a subplot to answer our question, how the frick did this kid get a mansion? Is his butler for real??? Dark and humourous, I had the first volume done in nothing flat; was pleased to learn this has been made into an anime, which I think this would be great as. Can't wait to get to volume 2... less
