review 1: Ah, Lau in the cover. He's one of my favorite characters in Kuroshitsuji. And he's the only one left amongst Ciel's inner circle of not-so-good people who haven't "betrayed" him. In the manga anyway. I don't count the part in the anime.Sebastian's death came as a shock for me before I realized it HAS to be fake because the story would be ruined without him. It just means he's either doing something else or pretending to be someone else.Oh and I seriously laughed out loud at the revelation with the cats. Honestly, Seb's fascination over them is so funny. Poor Ciel!
review 2: This little party seems to have gotten interesting, hasn't it?I must say that I love this story arc, even if the whole 'one of us must be the murderer since all of us are still in the mansio... moren' thing is kind of an overused idea. But I technically enjoy all of the story arcs since I just love Black Butler in general. I can't say there was a single part of this volume that had me thinking "Blahblah *skips like 2 pages* Now let's get to the interesting part." Because I've been known for doing that when a book gets boring. Every part of this captured my attention.Which is saying something, considering I've already read this before online and just now got the volume. Re-read it and the suspense and story-line still had me going.The art, as usual, was wonderful. :) less
