review 1: Yrsa Sigurdardóttir ma príjemne prekvapila. Zápletka je skvelá a plná prekvapení, vraha som zistila až s Tórou na posledných cca 10 - 15 stranách knihy. Veľkým plus je, že kniha nepotrebuje 30 zohavených mŕtvol na to, aby bola zaujímavá, Tóra nie je alkoholička, má deti a k nim dokonca aj normálny vzťah. Neuveriteľne som si užívala nenápadný, trošku čierny humor, ktorým bola kniha prestúpená. Pre mňa naozaj výborná detektívka a sadla mi oveľa viac ako tie "klasické" severské, z ktorých máte depresie a zlé sny ešte týždne po dočítaní. Odporúčam. :)
review 2: Not a bad first foray into the murder mystery genre. Thora is an interesting character, though why a lawyer is doing the investigative work she is doing is ... morekind of a mystery. It was interesting to have the two murders that were intertwined but decades apart. Though I have to admit that some of the big reveals were already apparent at least to me. Though the final one was a bit of a twist. The setting in Iceland was also interesting. That's a country I don't know much about. less
