review 1: I continue to like the overall Deepgate series, but this book's plot got very convoluted and difficult to follow. The focus on the greater meta-plot at the cost of lessened attention to the characters also makes this book weaker than the others in the series. Still, the interesting visual descriptions make the imagery of the book come alive for me - you can really tell the writer used to design video games. I would actually really like to play a game based on this series.
review 2: I'd read the others in the series and really enjoyed them. I enjoyed Campbell's ideas and his writing is really quite engaging. Unfortunately though this book seemed to follow in the vein of a Hollywood movie. By this I mean that the story is going really well and promises a great
... more ending.... However, it all ends too soon and for me was quite an anti-climax. Shame really as the previous two were fantastic. less

Awesome!!!!!! I love the way the author manipulated the time continuum. Definitely a favorite.

Anti-climactic ending of an otherwise excellent series.
