review 1: I love the idea of a fiction in a fiction. I like the symbolism of sunrise and new beginnings. And I like that some of the thoughts in this book has their shadows. But it fails to be as deeply stirring as other books by Baricco.I guess it's a book that he wrote to entertain himself, so you have to take it as entertainment also, rather then something lifechanging. Take the three short stories as crunchy cookies and enjoy them with your morning tea.
review 2: Decir que me ha gustado es poco. Me ha encantado. Sabía de la existencia de esta historia por su mención en Mr. Gwyn. Pero pensaba que era más bien algo que se había dejado en el tintero y que no iba a ser tan extraordinario como su anterior libro. Sin embargo, una vez que te mentes en harina compruebas ... moreque es una obra independiente del libro anterior, es sencilla, breve y muy, muy original. Sólo os pondré en situación, lo demás invito a que lo leáis:El lugar: un vestíbulo de un hotel.El momento: cuando la noche empieza a vestirse de día.Los protagonistas: son las mismas personas que se conocen en diferentes momentos de sus vidas, y se cruzan una única vez.Baricco crea tres historias diferentes que se funden en una sola. Es un libro para leerlo sin prisa. ¿Es prosa? ¿es poesía? ¡ni idea! Este autor siempre me fascina.¿A que os apetece leerla? less
