review 1: This book was... woah. It was packed with suspense, It would literally leave you wanting more. I loved how it wasn't your typical usual type of book where the story gets over shadowed by some type of romance. This was literally all about survival and hope. In having faith. These boys were sent to this prison underground for committing crimes they did not do. Where creatures come out at night and take them away, or kill them if they are not in there cell in time...It's an intense book but I loved it.
review 2: Lockdown:Escape From Furnace by Alexander Gordon Smith is a good book. It is hard to describe it using more than just good. It is a teenage kid named named Alex who is sent to Furnace Penitentiary, and underground, hell-hole of a prison. He is sent for lif
... moree and realizes he needs to escape, his life is depending on it, literally! I like this book because it really opens up your imagination and makes you think about the craziest possibilities in the world. I think the reason this book was written was because it wants the reader, like me, to use the darkest sense of their mind and think of the most terrible things that could ever happen to anybody. This book doesn't really have any non-exciting moments and great characters and settings. I would definitely recommend this book to anybody who likes just (like I said before) pure insanity. This book is the first of a series with Alex and I am currently reading the sequel. Furnace is beyond a prison, it is absolutely insane, so if you like to read weird, terrible, graphic, and just crazy things, check out Lockdown! less
