Escape From Furnace
review 1: This book starts when Alex, Simon, and Zee first get out of Furnace Prison. They have to run from the police and the government. The first place they go is the mall. There they get new clothes so they can try to blend in with the crowd. As soon as they get out of the mall in a big hummer truck that they found in the parking lot there are cops everywhere. When they finally get to their safe spot, the subway, they come up with an idea. Zee thinks if they go to the big city then they will be able to make a clean getaway. On their way they run into one of the gangs from furnace. As they are talking something comes into the room. It is a huge monster, a berserker. It kills lots of the people and then it leaves. Then Alex decides to go to the very tower that Furnace himself is ... morein. Furnace is a man who made all the beasts and the nectar. “The world is an inferno. It will burn until every nation has fallen, until all who oppose us are dead, until people see the true light.” When he gets there he finds not Furnace, but Warden Cross, who has become insanely powerful. What would Alex do against someone who has had insane amounts of the nectar pumped into him? Somehow Alex beats him. Alex swears he will kill Furnace, no matter what the cost. I love this book and it is very suspenseful and action-packed. The only bad part is that it is really gory and kind of scary. I recommend this book to anyone who loves action and adventure.
review 2: "Fugitives" is a fictional story written by Alexander Gordon Smith. This book is the fourth book in the series . The author's purpose in writing this book was to entertain the reader. The author does a good job hooking the reader. I've enjoyed this book, and I think that this book might have been one of my favorite books . The series are coming together, and the author paints every scene so good. Once I started reading this book, it was very hard to put down. I love the job the author has done with this book. With the purpose mainly being to entertain the reader. It doesn't seem to have much of a theme. The theme isn't stated directly. The theme may vary from perspective to perspective. I believe the theme of the story is about bad decisions, good intentions. The protagonist and narrator,Alex, has just led a prison break. He is now fighting for his life and for his friends. The city has been put on lock-down all because of the escaped convicts. Alex didn't intend for the city to go bad. He just wanted the inmates to taste freedom once again. Alex's actions are causing the entire world to take a turn for the worse. All of his good intentions, his bad choices are going to cause him more pain and suffering than he ever wanted to imagine. The style of "Fugitives" is mainly description. One reason why the author was able to hook me so effectively is he painted the scenes in my mind so exceptionally well. I could imagine every scene and character in my head. The author is describing unimaginable creatures that aren't so friendly, but he does a phenomenal job at it. I wouldn't want to meet any of the creatures the author has described in this book; that is for sure. Overall, this book is a good book to read. I recommend this book to teens . less
