review 1: Tate is so different than you would think when you imagine how he looks. His tattoo's are so intimidating. I mean how many people have tattoos on their face? But its really just camoflauge. He was burned very badly as a child and tries to hide his scars with the ink, the hair, the makeup, the piercings. He's such a sweet mistunderstood boy. When he befriends Brian, he is so not open to anyone finding him attractive that even when Brian is totally obvious that he's attracted, Tate cant believe it. Tate goes on a date and is hurt very badly, Brian finally realizes he cannot let Tate not know his feelings. I really loved how far he was willing to go to make Tate see the real him. Really good story of two broken boys who find love in each other

... morealker is such a sweet story. It’s a little sad and emotional but really well written and touching. Tate is a wonderful character. He’s broken but still searching for love with so much hope. Brian was a little frustrating because he felt so much for Tate but took so long to speak up. But I loved that he finally made a statement in a big way that Tate couldn’t miss. I’m looking forward to reading the sequels. less
