review 1: It is a murder mystery with a twist of the beyond set in Faith, New Mexico. It kept me guessing most of the way thru. Which theory of Assistant Sheriff Cameron Dawson, did I believe ; one killer, serial killer or multiple killers ? Then all the sudden you throw in Kyle , a Dr. in Albuquerque, that has dreams and feels and sees things from the beyond. She must figure out what Bethany is trying to tell her. It was a book that I had to pick up at every chance I had to read. I would say halfway thru the book is very clean then there is about 3 or 4 chapters when things change and the "F" word is used frequent, then it goes back to very clean for the rest of the book. No sex at all in the book. The killings are described in detail.

... moreky about it. This certainly isn't a terrible book but it's not as good as most of the other reviews here indicate. You know how it is when you are having a lazy day, turn on the t.v. and watch a Lifetime or Hallmark channel movie? Or maybe it's the CBS movie of the week (if they still do that, anyway) or some B movie on the SyFy network? Well, this is the literary equivalent of that movie. Like that movie of the week, it's just interesting enough to hold your attention but you can get up and leave the room for a few minutes and Lisa Rinna or Markie Post is still a woman in peril when you get back. The bones of the book are decent. It's just wrapped up in cliche and simplistic writing. less
