The Marbury Lens
review 1: This book probably really deserves a four star rating, but it is NOT a book for everyone. Most of the violence is not that graphic, but the scenes are, if that makes any sense. Still, it is a compulsive, compelling read, much like the lens itself. It could be read as an allegory for all of the kinds of addictions we have, but I think it was meant, and is better read as "story". The important themes are honesty and friendship. Well worth reading.
review 2: I don't know that I liked this book. I was enjoying it until about halfway through when I felt like it started getting repetitive and asking more questions than it was answering. And then at the end, there's NO closure and NO answers because it's a freaking trilogy. I am so sick of picking up a book expec
... moreting it to be a standalone and have it be the beginning of a trilogy. I just want to know the answers. I don't want to read two more of these books - it was very violent and graphic and it did get very monotonous so I don't think I'll pick up the next two. less

It was a great concept that I felt got lost in the story. I also couldn't stand the swearing. 3.5/5
