review 1: The Rat Catcher is a mob hit man that takes out informants willing to turn over for Federal evidence. The story line of this one was actually well done in the sense that someone really took the time to plot it all out. There are even a few twists her, okay maybe one big one and that's really it, that add some spice to the whole enchilada. The artwork is pretty simply done in black and white format and is well drawn. Be prepared for an ending that may tick you off. Seems the well thought out story line ran out of gas. Just kind of leaves the reader having to guess what's gonna happen now?
review 2: I've read several of the Vertigo Crime books, and sadly all but the first one, Filthy Rich, have either not been very good at all or not really a crime book. This one
... more, however, is a lot of fun. Diggle's pulled together a fast-paced crime-thriller with some nice twists and very dark, Noir-ish characters. Ibanez's art is really strong, almost cinematic in style in the way he uses angles and sets up scenes with establishing shots. A good, fast read for anyone who likes action-based thrillers. less

Though the ending sucked and was way too rushed, this is best of these Vertigo crime things yet.

Very nice art, paired with a decently-twisty story, makes for a smooth read.
