review 1: I took up this book because of the oh-so promising name and what not. It's not a bad book. Honestly it's a god truthful representation of how real relationships might work, not all hunky dory but with fire and brimstone and all the other cliches. But as for the real Tomb part, I was very disappointed. I mean the time they spent in the Tomb itself was like, one chapter?I had expected a lot more. I was expecting an Indiana Jones - Lara Croft type of scene where oh they spend hours in the caves trying to understand how the tomb works, fucking it up and then getting through it in the last possible minute. The tomb itself was VERY fascinating, and I wish McDermott had spent a little more time on the booby traps and the journey towards finding out the tomb, rather than stressing ov... moreer the messed up three way love affair.Except these complaints, I must say, the book was very fast paced and I totally couldn't put it down. Sophia was amazing. I would have liked it if she had had a better ending. Over all. It was a good read. Nina and Eddie were great.
review 2: While I really enjoyed the first book, The Hunt for Atlantis, I found myself really not liking this book. Just like most movies, this would be the bad sequel. The writing was fine, and I liked some of the new addition of characters, but most were forgettable. I found the plot to be really random. *SPOILERS* The main villains motives behind making the nuke to blow up N.Y. Just seemed really crazy and unnecessary. It wasn't the worst book I've ever read, but not the best. less

More action and less "archaeology" in this one. Still good though.
