review 1: Incredible book.Guilt, Anger, Greed, and Jealousy all run rampant in the lives of friends, family, and even church members.How do we battle with these diseases that take residence in our hearts?Confessing, forgiving, generosity, and celebrating are his steps in order to combat these infections of the heart.In addition, he adds a fifth element of lust into the equation. Most males and females agree that this can also be a problem in a relationship.Andy would point out that the fifth was created by God, but due to the fall, it has become fractured.Without lust, we would not be here, most likely. Therefore, Andy states that lust isn't so much a problem to be solved, as an appetite to manage.However, when the top four (guilt, anger, greed, and jealousy) are dealt with, the fif... moreth (lust) is better managed.In the past 3 months, I have read around ten christian living books and I would place this as the most insightful and helpful of all. Andy really nows how to effectively communicate truth!
review 2: Previously released as "It Came From Within." ...A good book, well worth reading and pondering. I've enjoyed Andy's messages for awhile, but this is the first I've read of his books. I like how he brings everything down to earth, explaining things in a different way than you may have thought of it before, simplifying some profound truths. I'd definitely recommend this one to anyone who wants to free their heart from gunk. less
