review 1: It was a long haul, made me skipped a few paragraphs to a page too much inner thoughts of Pearl, shorter conversations with the other characters. The way things unfold was not a mystery. Never doubting how the flow of the story would go. This book is a little bland compared to the first book. Its very lie low. I mean Laura just died like that? After all the threatening that she induced? Really? No more than that? Its like the story was laid to rest. Guys please enlighten when on what happened? Peace!
review 2: To me this was the best book in the Pearl trilogy. Pearl Robinson was full of so much doubt about her relationship with Alexandre. His ex girlfriend was making it hard for her to trust Alexandre's true intentions and feelings. He has fallen head over hee... morels in love with Pearl throughout the series, but she just has such low self esteem that she finds it hard that a rich, gorgeous and very young Alexandre could love and stay in love with her a much older woman. So happy the way the book played out. There's even a bit of mystery to this one. less
