review 1: I grew up with The Beatles. My mom was obsessed as a teen. So, I listened to them all the time.The book is about the Beatles before they got huge. Also a love story between Astrid and Stuart Sutcliffe. I loved the story about the band and the deep fast love of Astrid and Stuart. At the end it has that heart-breaking moment.I loved the story. At times the story seemed to jump from situation to situation with nothing in between. Some of the illustrations were ruined by smoke. It seemed everyone was smoking in every picture. Which really took from the story.
review 2: This is the love story about Astrid Kirchherr and ex-Beatles bandmate, Stuart Sutcliffe. The Beatles started playing as a simple side-band in a little bar in Hamburg, Germany, where audiences are awe... mored by their amazing talents, including Astrid, which has most interest in Stuart. Soon, they meet each other and decide to be engaged. But they soon discover that Stuart is slowly becoming very ill. What will become of Stuart?I picked up this book because Victoria said it was really good. So, i quickly snatched it when she returned it.The book is really good. I never knew that the Beatles had a love story like that. I'm so sad for Astrid though! They didn't even get to marry!!! Sigh.I recommend this book to Nivetha, who has a great interest in Graphic Novels less
