review 1: Yet another one that I figured out before the end, though it was a bit more puzzling than the last one. This is so far my favorite of the short stories. On a parting note:‎"'We have got to the deductions and the inferences,' said Lestrade, winking at me. 'I find it hard enough to tackle facts, Holmes, without flying away after theories and fancies.''You are right,' said Holmes demurely; 'you do find it very hard to tackle the facts.'"This "Oh, snap!" moment brought to you by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
review 2: Not Brilliant. The short length both prevented this book from being any good and also saved it from me giving it an even poorer score! It simply wasn't long enough to weave an intricate plot, however I didn't feel it wasted a lot of my time so I wasn't to
... moreo annoyed by its simplicity. It is perhaps a read for people who want a quick bite-sized mystery. I guessed the murderer practically from the start so there was really no surprise when it was revealed. I thought most of the clues to be absolutely useless in leading the reader to the correct conclusion. The end sentence left it on quite a nice note so I didn't part from the text too disappointed. less

The cases from The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes are intriguing but nothing really special.
