review 1: In the book "Everybody sees the Ants", Lucky Linderman is having problems at school and it doesn't get any better at home either. Lucky doesn't have the best relationship with his father and always wonders why his mother married him. A few weeks later after the bully, Nader McMillan, went to far with bullying. Lucky and his mom decided to go down to Arizona to visit family just him and his mom. While in Arizona Lucky does not have as many problems as he had but his aunt Jodi does. Aunt Jodi thinks there is a lot of problems with Lucky. Lucky finds a girl and calls her "my ninja", because she is dressed in black and can't see her except her hair which flows in the wind. How will Lucky get the guts to talk to her before he has to leave? Read the book "everybody sees the ant... mores" to find out. I like the book "Everybody sees the Ants" because it is really interesting to see what Lucky Linderman says and does to react to his problems. I also like this book because it is just really fun funny to read. If you like books with funny and interesting this is the perfect book for you! That is why I like the book "Everybody sees the Ants".
review 2: I nearly gave up on this book. Very, very nearly. I only continued because of the good things people said here on Goodreads, and the fact that this was my current book club selection. I'm glad I stayed with it. The main character, Lucky, really grows and becomes a very compelling character. As a mom, this book struck me in a very different way than I think it would have had I been a teenager when I read it. Worth the read. less
