review 1: “I did not know this was a follow on from a previous story when I picked it but as a stand alone it looked an interesting read. The plot itself is brilliant & believable, but the actual story was long winded & the characters where very depressing & seemed to give up. The children living conditions & the hope they had of getting out of this scary situation, plus the understanding of why this man kept them made me want too complete the book .... ”
