review 1: Ok so I read this authors newest book Little Memphis which I loved the shit out of that book by the way. So I see she has another series I am super excited. This book was even free!! Oh man did I regret starting it. This was horrible. The heroine was super weak. Now I know she has been through abuse and has lived poor in motels and I feel for her I really do I mean I'm not heartless. But I just did not connect with her. She was always crying, she cried during sex she cried during arguing. Ugh I couldn't stand it. Cooper ugh he was ok I guess but I don't know something was missing with him. Farah was such a doormat it wasn't funny. She would be like oh no I can't be with him then he'd show up and they'd get back together. Also she'd be this weak crying girl then the nex... moret sentence she's asking for sex even though she can't orgasm and cries through it. I skimed basically the last 60%. The only reason I did not put it on my DNF list is because usually the first book isn't the best of the bunch so I'm hopeing the others are better. In looking at the ratings it seems that way.
review 2: I made it to about 70% on my Kindle. (it was a forced 70% too) Couldn't take the crying of the h OR the controlling violent H another moment. I LOVE alpha male books, but this book pissed me off. The H wasn't alpha, he was spoiled, violent & obsessive. If the h grew a backbone and dumped him (which she should have in the beginning), I can TOTALLY see the H become some psycho stalker. He creeped me out. Sorry for anyone who loved this book. I just didn't. less
