review 1: Coffey is a great story teller and I admire his ability to paint a picture that enables the reader to feel like you're actually witnessing the events. You will become well acquainted with the characters in this book. What's really compelling about Coffey's work is the Supernatural realm that he creates with his writing. This is a book that will stay with the reader for a while after you have finished it. I'm looking forward to reading the third book which is coming out next week, "In the Heart of the Dark Wood." 3.5 stars

I found at times I got confused about who w... moreas talking and I would also get bogged down in all the details that the author used. I wanted to like this book because the premise of the story was something that I know I would like but it just wasn't a book for me. less
