review 1: Let me start out by saying that i will be writing one review for this manga. At first i had watched the anime that was adapted from this manga and i fell in love with the characters. It is a funny, cheesy kinda gender-bender romantic plot.Compared to the anime, the manga had far more details and other stories involved.Ok enough with the anime. As i mentioned before the plot is a comedy, cheesy romantic, gender-bender...Haruhi is a scholarship student at an exclusive rich high school called Ouran High School. While trying to find a quiet classroom to study in she happens to open the doors to the music room, where she was presented with the appearance of 6 handsome male students that used the room for their club Ouran High School Host Club. Because of her appearance at the ti... moreme(her father's baggy shirt, big nerdy glasses and a short messy hair style) they thought she was a boy. So as they started teasing her of being gay, during her escape she smashed a very pricey vase. Due to this accident to pay off her debt she had to become the club's dog(to do the chores). The president soon sees her without glasses and with a few changes to her hair and wardrobe she is quickly added to the host club members. In the first volume they find out that she really is a girl but they decided not to tell anyone because she wanted to work off her debt. Her being a girl changes the way the club members act around her. They go through a lot of adventures trying to conceal the truth about her sex, protecting her.. Some of the members fall in love with her, but that's for you readers to find out...I have to say that through this manga you can see the difference in social status of a rich person and a poor person. What difficulties and hardships they have to overcome.
review 2: Ouran High School Host Club #15 by Bisco HatoriThis one is a mix of silliness and darkness, like most of them. Tamaki is still down from the things that have happened in previous chapters and from his injury so the club has engineered a contest that’s designed to do a few things, to cheer him up and to help another young lady to be honest about her feelings (and maybe even get Tamaki and Haruhi to do the same). It works. Tamaki finally realizes he’s been an idiot about the whole Haruhi is my daughter thing.Naturally, Tamaki being Tamaki goes completely overboard with his love and pretty much sees himself as marrying Haruhi. This naturally doesn’t sit well with Hikaru who challenges Tamaki to see which can find the best birthday present for Haruhi. On the other hand, Haruhi is so afraid of what she might be feeling can’t even be nice to Tamaki. Only Hikaru is honest with his feelings. On the darker side, there is something going on with a Suoh family lawyer, Grandma Suoh and Haruhi’s father that Kyouya is looking into (guessing that Grandma Suoh is trying to maneuver the poor girl away from her unloved grandson). Also Mori and Hunny are graduating and moving on to Ouran’s college but to completely different fields of study. They look like they’re taking it well or are they? There’s also a cute little side story in this one too. Enjoyable as usual but Tamaki was a little too dumb for me this time. I like looking under his stupid shell but we didn’t get to do that too much this time. less
