review 1: Very interesting book. It is a collection of short stories about serial killers interacting with other serial killers. Sometimes they kill each other. Sometimes they kill others together and become the best of friends. If you are looking for an interesting plot, or a compelling good guy that's going to save the day, this is not the book for you. There are no good guys. This book is all about serial killers killing and torturing their prey. There's very little exposition about why they kill. And for that, I'll give it 4/5. Because, fuck exposition. Fuck it in its dirty asshole.

... moregh, I really got into the stories. I'm working my way through the intertwined Konrath/Kilborn/Crouch universe, and this was a quick intro to several of their major characters. Most of these were a lot of fun, and I liked getting to read about the background of some of these individuals to see the paths that led them to their sick selves. This book is not for the easily offended or those with weak stomachs. For those of you who, like me, grew up thinking the villains in the Disney cartoon movies were infinitely more interesting than the heroes, this should be right up your alley. less
