review 1: This was a cute book that could be a lesson to young children. I loved that the pictures were so colorful and the illustrations were so different. The way that the illustrator made the people in the book is so different. It looks like the illustrator used a ton of different shapes to create the pictures. I like that Debbie Sue came into the doughnut shop just wanting a plain glazed one. Throughout all the competition with the other doughnut shop, i'm sure this request came as a surprise. This was a lesson to the chef that not everyone likes the elaborate things and some people like simple things. Also, all the different flavors of the doughnuts in the book made me hungry!
review 2: I love the end-papers in the book. The whole thing is so colorful. Staake's illu

This one is also good for looking at competition. Even high school could use this in classes that talk about marketing and business. Great book to add to the collection for any level. less
