review 1: i really really enjoyed this short story by Mr. Sanderson In fact, I could barely put it down as I read it over the course of a few hours. I really enjoyed the character Shai and the ability she has to forge great works of art. She is tasked, while improsoned, to create a masterpiece lunlike any she had created before. The depth of character, and the characters in this story are remarkable to me, and I wish I could replicate that in my own writing. Highly recommend this story to everyone, it's well worth the read.
review 2: A very intriguing concept and story. It makes you question what makes your soul? How would people write your soul if they could only read what you had written? What things would they overlook or not see completely? Are there parts of our ... moresouls that we should make more apparent? That we are hiding from the world because we are afraid of our own true potential? I have never thought of these questions before but Brandon Sanderson's story made me do just that. less
