review 1: Very creepy in a good way. This book is nothing like those books you read thinking "Haven't I read this before?" and it will keep you turning pages well into the night. I like the writing and how the whole thing flows. The plot has a good flow from start to finish. The entire thing feels original and well worth the read. I was able to read this book thanks to the traveling book group here on GoodReads. Thank you!
review 2: This book was interesting. I wasn't sure what to expect and it wasn't really where I thought this book was going to go. I loved Malcolm, the main character and his sister Emma a lot. Tate was interesting and the two different burrows with two different leaders was an interesting touch. I love the concept of replacing kids though, and knowing
... morethey aren't right, but never saying anything about it. It was a great start, but the ending was just so-so. I am not surprised she went that way, but it seemed like it was an easy ending and not maybe where she could have gone with it. It wasn't as dark as I thought it would be from the cover. less

Read on the recommendation of my daughter. I liked it as a light thriller fantasy of YA fiction.
