review 2: I have issues with modern comics. I'm trying to get over them, but I still find myself feeling unsatisfied when I finish a storyline. Probably because they are all tied into some endless, repetitive crossover, that will only lead to yet another crossover. They are all the rage these days, but one of the driving forces that made me stop reading and enjoying comics like I once did. And everything is so damned dark now. And ultra-violent. Maybe I'm hyper-sensitive now that I am the parent of a 7 year old. He's interested in comics because they were such a huge part of my life...but I certainly don't read anything that he can enjoy with classic super-heroes in it.But...I digress. This book took a half hour to slowly read. The artwork was nice, but just feels like touched up photographs most of the time. I guess comics aren't meant to really do much these days but briefly distract you for a couple minutes. Whatever I feel is missing in comics these days...well, it's still missing. But this was a story you can tell the creators enjoyed telling. Considering it took a year to make a half hour worth of entertainment....?Where's the beef? :P less

I enjoyed the story, but I tend to find Maleev's art style a little distracting.
